Anxiety + Depression
Applying sound therapy to anxiety, depression, panic, and phobias
Grounding, knowledge of self-worth, self-love, and excitement for life are the keywords to the energetic centers (chakras) we will focus on to support self-healing. We will work with all 7 chakra areas including root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown to address the causes of anxiety and depression which could stem from any number of life situations past or present. Some feelings we will tune into address are:
-
Stuck
-
Overwhelmed
-
Scared and Worried
-
Chronically Tired
-
Hopeless
-
Undeserving

The process we will use over a 1-hour session will be to first comb through the biofield to note any major energy blockages which are discernable to the human ear and work to unblock them by playing a tuning fork until the note rings true. Often, the person receiving the treatment hears the actual change in the note when this happens and we mutually agree we've cleared up that area. We will then spend time discussing what we heard and the event which might have triggered such a blockage to name it and process it.
What are depression and anxiety?
A comorbid depression and anxiety disorders occur in up to 25% of general practice patients. About 85% of patients with depression have significant anxiety, and 90% of patients with anxiety disorder have depression. Symptomatology may initially seem vague and non-specific. A careful history and examination with relevant investigations should be used to make the diagnosis. Once the diagnosis is made, rating scales may identify illness severity and help in monitoring treatment progress. Symptoms which characterize depression include:

-
Feeling sad or "empty"
-
Loss of interest in favorite activities
-
Overeating, or not wanting to eat at all
-
Not being able to sleep, or sleeping too much
-
Feeling very tired
-
Feeling hopeless, irritable, anxious, or guilty
-
Aches or pains, headaches, cramps, or digestive problems
-
Thoughts of death or suicide

Anxiety disorders include:
-
Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). People with GAD worry about ordinary issues such as health, money, work, and family. But their worries are excessive, and they have them almost every day for at least 6 months.
-
Panic disorder. People with panic disorder have panic attacks. These are sudden, repeated periods of intense fear when there is no danger. The attacks come on quickly and can last several minutes or more.
-
Phobias. People with phobias have an intense fear of something that poses little or no actual danger. Their fear may be about spiders, flying, going to crowded places, or being in social situations (known as social anxiety).
It is common for people to show these behaviors some of the time. However, for people with ADHD, the behaviors are frequent and occur across multiple situations, such as at school, at home, at work, or with family and friends.
