Chronic Pain

Applying sound therapy to treat pain

Sometimes no amount of physical therapy, drug therapy, or sleep habit adjustments can fix pain we're feeling, and we end up pursuing surgery or just living with it. In cases where nothing physical quite seems to heal us, emotional duress is one culprit worth exploring and addressing which Attune does through sound. Acupuncture, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other emotion-oriented treatments might also be effective. In the event you're feeling chronic pain that unexplainably won't go away, we will work with all 7 chakra areas including root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown in both past years of your life (the biofield) and the present (on the body).  We will work together to explore when the pain started and if we can make a shift.

The process we will use over a 1-hour session will be to first comb through the biofield to note any major energy blockages which are discernable to the human ear and work to unblock them by playing a tuning fork until the note rings true. Often, the person receiving the treatment hears the actual change in the note when this happens and we mutually agree we've cleared up that area. We will then spend time discussing what we heard and the event which might have triggered such a blockage to name it and process it.

How is chronic pain related to emotion?

Research has shown that exciting or disturbing feelings agitate and activate the same areas of our brain that light up when we feel chronic pain. One large component in gaining control of our pain is getting a handle on our emotional responses to frustrating situations.

The key emotions that make the pain worse are fear, anxiety, anger, guilt, grief, and helplessness.
